How fast is Livnly against the calendars people already use?
Livnly is built on one claim: it is the fastest calendar you can use. That is a claim with a number behind it, so it should be measured before it is repeated.
This is the first experiment because it is the one that can most cheaply prove the product wrong. If Livnly is not fastest, better to know in week one than to build a year of positioning on top of it.
What is being measured
Three actions, chosen because they are what people actually do in a calendar rather than what is easy to instrument:
- Open to interactive. Cold start to the point where the current week is on screen and responds to input.
- Create an event. From the intent to add something to the moment it is saved and visible.
- Jump to a date. Moving to an arbitrary day some months out.
Each is measured twenty times per app, on the same machine, same network, same account size. Median and p95 both get published, because a median alone hides the times a calendar makes you wait.
What would make this fail
If Livnly loses on any of the three, the claim is wrong as written. The honest outcomes are to narrow it to the actions Livnly does win, or to change the product until the claim is true. Rewriting the benchmark until it flatters the product is not on the list.
Why the result is empty
It has not been run yet. The record exists first so the method is fixed before the numbers arrive — deciding what counts as success after seeing the data is how measurement turns into marketing.
